Benefits of Partnership

Help support a large but poorly-served minority

By partnering with Lapis, you are making a real impact for our client group. Remember that on average 16% of your workforce are directly affected by disability (source DWP) and many others will have affected family members.

We support your staff

Lapis currently provides over 90 clients with disabilities, health conditions or neurodivergence with weekly individual psychotherapeutic support. Our experience can help you to support your staff.

Delivering on the ground

Lapis currently has 25 therapists of whom 20 are volunteers. We also have 6 clinical supervisors who provide experienced, professional support for all of our psychotherapeutic work.

Accountability

LAPIS was set up in 2018 and gained registered charitable status (CIO) in September 2020. We have proved ourselves in the field and now need assistance to continue our work and to expand.

Your assistance maximised

Lapis carried out over 4,000 hours of counselling and psychotherapy over the past year.   Due to a high level of volunteering, over 95% of the revenue we receive is spent on direct client services.

Nimble in meeting client needs

Lapis seamlessly adjusted to online individual psychotherapy and group sessions to cope with the COVID-19 lockdown guidelines. We currently offer a hybrid service where clients can choose online or face-to-face therapy.

Services we offer

Specialist mental health support, relational sessions and education for employees

Relational sessions and Education for employees. Lapis offers and psychotherapeutic counselling to provide support for employees and their families. We also provide staff group relational sessions and psycho-educational programmes to enable employees to become mentally health literate. We create a bespoke Partner Well-being Plan that is tailored to your well-being strategy and priority areas.

Workshops, training and support

Since 2018, Lapis has been teaching and facilitating mindfulness and mindful relationship training and workshops both in a face-to-face and online format. We have delivered these to various specialist organisations, such as psychotherapists, engineers, university Masters and PhD programmes and teachers in a pupil referral unit. We have adapted to specific audiences, for example, blind and visually impaired people, people with neurodivergence and people with physical disabilities. All sessions are conducted by Lapis' Wellbeing Experts and can be delivered online or face to face.

Volunteering opportunities for staff

Lapis offers volunteering opportunities for your staff group. In addition to our clinical volunteers, we have hosted volunteers in roles such as: social media, partnership marketing and outreach, fundraising, accounting, copy writing and editing, IT support, surveys and service audits, and research. We have received and made excellent use of the generous advice of L'Oreal UK business experts and pro bono consultancy 180DC at LSE
